Artist's creation displayed outside PAC - 3:26

For the past several weeks, local artist Dorene Johnson, a Horace Mann Middle School teacher in Neenah, has been painting a fiberglass lion at the school. The lion is one of 71 lion and lion cubs being decorated by local artists and organizations and placed throughout the Fox Valley, including College Avenue in Appleton. The lions recognize the Wisconsin premiere of Disney's "The Lion King" at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton. Johnson's lion sits outside the PAC on College Avenue.

Winter storm - time lapse (:50)

I recorded the last 48-hours of winter weather through a window of my Appleton home. Watch a weekend of snow fall and digging out in less than a minute.

Helping Hand - 1:30

Since moving into our home on Appleton's southwest side five years ago, snow removal has never been a problem. That's because our neighbor, Francis Zach takes care of it for us. As a healthy male in my mid thirties, this is something I normally don't brag about. But there's noting I can do about it. Before I can think clearly, not only has she cleared my snow, but many of my surrounding neighbors as well. She's awesome. We're lucky to live next door to such a kind person. Thanks Fran.
